*OMAHA AREA ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE 2013*
In conjunction with the March 16th, 2013 Omaha St. Patrick's Day Parade, sponsored by the Omaha Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Omaha Area Emerald Society (which is made up of public safety
Officers of Irish decent) is once again inviting Public Safety agencies to participate as part of the Emerald Society (OAES) entry. Whether you have cruisers, fire trucks, specialty equipment, or personnel; all will form a large contingent dedicated to public safety. In keeping with an idea from past years you can honor the fallen officers from your agency by walking with an American or Agency flag carried in behalf of that fallen officer during the parade. Many agencies also add a banner on these flags with the fallen officer's name. The parade will begin in downtown Omaha at 10:00am, with a 9:15am show-up time, near 15th & Howard St.
Please remember that our by-laws do not allow political advertising in our parade entry. The Ancient Order of Hibernians also has a fee for persons running for office if they want to put an entry in the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
